Yesterday, the alumni of the Zoran Djindjic Foundation met with Siniša Nikolić, former Chief of Staff to Zoran Djindjic, to discuss October 5, 2000, and the years leading up to it.
As Chief of Staff from 1997 to 2000, Siniša Nikolić provided a first-hand account of the turbulent process of uniting the opposition, key political decisions, and the dramatic days that led to the fall of the regime. The discussion offered alumni valuable insight into Djindjic’s way of thinking, the strategies of the opposition, and the lasting significance of October 5 for democracy in Serbia.
We thank Siniša Nikolić for an open and inspiring conversation. We continue to honor the memory, learn from the experience, and build a community that believes in Serbia’s European future.
